Jack Hylton rose from being a Music Hall turn as The Singing Mill Boy to become oe of the top Band Leaders of his time. Establishing a band which toured the Variety Theatres, he included many novelty numbers. One of his vocalists was comic songwriter Leslie Sarony, who features on many of the tracks on this CD.
